Hollywood Walk of Fame: Although famous, the Walk of Fame can be congested and disappointing. Stargazing is possible, but the location is sleazy.
Times Square: Times Square is congested, noisy, and full of expensive shops and restaurants, but many visitors must go.
Fisherman's Wharf: Tourists and prices can be high here. Although close to Alcatraz and Pier 39, there are finer San Francisco areas to visit.
Niagara Falls: The falls are beautiful, but the region is full of tacky stuff. Try the Canadian side for a less promotional experience.
South of the Border: While famed for its billboards, this I-95 roadside attraction is a tourist trap with knick-knack stores and poor meals.
Graceland: Graceland is a pilgrimage for Elvis lovers, but some find it disappointing and expensive. Expect huge lines and people.
Waikiki: Waikiki Beach is gorgeous but congested with luxury shops and hotels.
The Mall of America: Despite being one of the largest U.S. malls, it has ordinary retailers. It may not be worth visiting if you don't shop.
