Burger King's new burger-less cheeseburger with a bun and 20 slices of American cheese has confused fast-food customers.
The Burger King Thailand Facebook page wrote : “Not for fun, this is for real!” A snapshot of the cheeseburger with only melted cheese slices was also posted.
Burger King Thailand said the limited-edition cheeseburger launched on Sunday for 109 Thai baht ($3.14), down from 380 baht ($10.95).
The fast-food company also told customers in the Facebook comments that they can “order more cheese” for 20 Thai baht if they are “not satisfied”.
Many social media users are confused and disgusted by the cheese-focused burger and wonder why the fast-food chain released it.
One tweet read: “I am, quite literally, gagging,” while another said: “My stomach hurt just looking at this picture.”
“Taking Thailand off my bucket list,” another joked about Burger King's latest menu item.
Cheese on everything is a Thai trend. Burger King has joined the authentic cheeseburger effort.
