Want to see something different? Well, if you want to try out a new place, you're in luck. Across the country, there are several government programs that pay people to move there.
Some programs are only for people who work from home, while others are open to anyone who wants to move somewhere else.
Through the Choose Topeka program, on-site workers can get up to $10,000 to rent during their first year and up to $15,000 to buy a house.
As part of its home buyer incentive program, the city gives people who qualify $10,000 to buy a new house. To qualify, however, the home must be worth at least $190,000.
The Tulsa Remote program gives a $10,000 grant to people who move to the area and buy a house. To qualify, you must either work from home full-time or be self-employed somewhere other than Oklahoma.
