This Might Be The Reason Chick-fil-A Is Upping Its Prices

Not a secret. Many fast food businesses have raised their pricing, including McDonald's dollar menu, which is no longer a $1.

Chick-fil-A is apparently the next fast food company to raise costs, with consumers complaining that they pay $15 or more for a lunch.

Interesting, many assume the sudden surge is due to a new cup the business is providing. Some customers claim Chick-fil-A's rising prices are due to its new double-wall paper cup.

Some Chick-fil-A employees commented, “I work at CFA and we don’t charge for cups” and “I work at CFA and we don’t have those cups but we’ve also have had a price increase 2x this year.

In a recent Reddit thread discussing the new cup, users complain about the size and not getting enough.

One user commented, "Looked at the bottom of my cup today and the internal piece which carries the beverage isn't nearly as big as the outside layer would make you assume," while another said, "It's a scam

Others defended the chicken chain, claiming the new cup has "the same volume" and "isn't some trick to pay the same for less product" but "to give similar insulation as the polystyrene cups without the environmental issues.

The Chick-fil-A double-wall paper cup is a novel packaging solution for cold beverages and milkshakes.

The double-wall technology's thermal properties and durability keep cold beverages cold longer than our single-wall paper and PET plastic cups.

Made in the US with renewable paper from certified, sustainably managed forests (SFI*). This new cup will come in small, medium, and large sizes, however milkshakes, frosted drinks, seasonal drinks, and iced coffee will remain in one size.
